TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
We have designed a WordPress Website and Hosted it on Microsoft Azure using Azure App Service running on A Linux Virtual Machine.
Web Design and Development
WordPress
WordPress is a free and open-source Content Management System. It uses a plug-in architecture and has a template system referred to as themes that can be used to host a website. We have used WordPress to design this website.
Android Development
Android software development is the process by which applications are created for devices running the Android Operating System. We have used Java language to implement the business logic using the Android software development kit(SDK). The HearMe App is an AudioBook Android App.
Cloud Computing
Microsoft Azure
Microsoft Azure is Microsoft's public cloud computing platform. Azure is a solid and reliable choice for hosting websites and applications. It has Pay-as-you-go Pricing Schemes and some of its features are free of cost. The Azure App service can be used to host an application. We used Microsoft Azure to host the Word Press website. We have hosted it using Azure App Service running on Linux Operating System.
Accessibility
We have used a collection of accessibility features in our HearMe App. Accessibility is an important part of any app and makes it easier for all users not only those with difficulties. Our App has text to speech support and has natural sounding audio using Nuance Communications. It has haptic and vibration feedback and also supports light and dark mode.
